Our Commitment to Community
An operating principle of The Child Poverty Collaborative (CPC) is authentic community engagement. Historically, policies, practices, and programs have not included the voice of those they are intended to serve. CPC is committed to shifting power and ensuring that community members are an active partner in leading and deciding. We believe that authentic engagement is a continuous process of co-creation that is built on relationships and mutual respect, and we are committed to facilitating that engagement.
Community Advisory Council
The Community Advisory Council (CAC) is a group of community residents who serve as a working partner in informing the CPC's activities by representing the voice of the community. CAC members provide meaningful feedback on initiatives, guidance on policy decisions, and other information that supports children and families on a pathway to self-sufficiency.
